The Leica Gallery Wetzlar was the very first Leica Gallery, established in 1976. Located at the headquarters of Leica Camera AG, it is one of the highlights of Leica World. Here, you can explore regularly changing exhibitions and photographic works by national and international photographers. Guided tours provide deeper insights into the exhibitions. The gallery is also an elegant venue for events with up to 600 guests.

The Leica World Creative Workshop introduces young people to photography and encourages them to express themselves creatively. Whether in the interactive museum, at the viewing windows overlooking the production area or while exploring Leitz-Park Forest, the various activities promote creativity, self-confidence and awareness of both self and others. Exciting workshops for children and teenagers are also held regularly.
Yes. As a guest of the Ernst Leitz Hotel, you receive discounted admission to Leica World. Simply present your room key card at the ticket desk to benefit from the reduced admission price.
You should allow approximately two hours to explore the interactive Ernst Leitz Museum and its exhibitions. You can easily spend another two hours at the headquarters, where you can look into the production facilities and visit additional exhibitions. If you also enjoy a break at Café Leitz and a walk through Leitz-Park Forest, your visit can comfortably fill half a day.
Leica World and the entire Leitz-Park are generally designed to be fully accessible. All attractions, from the Leica Tour and the interactive experience areas to Café Leitz, are accessible, senior-friendly and family-friendly. The Ernst Leitz Museum can be reached via lift and ramps, allowing wheelchair users and visitors with pushchairs to access the exhibition areas without difficulty. Please note, however, that due to its natural terrain, some areas of Leitz-Park Forest are not fully accessible.
